ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Hearing loss affects more than hearing.

Everyday conversations can become tiring or frustrating when you're living with hearing loss. Restaurants, family gatherings, meetings and conversations in background noise can all present challenges.

ACE (Active Communication Education) is a group communication program developed by the University of Queensland. It focuses on practical strategies for navigating everyday listening situations and improving communication confidence.

HearHere Australia is delivering this round of ACE Your Hearing as a free community education program, open to adults with hearing loss regardless of age.

It's not about getting better hearing. It's about learning strategies to make communication easier, reduce frustration and feel more connected.

LEARN · PRACTISE · CONNECT

Small changes can make a big difference.

Across two relaxed group sessions, we'll explore practical ways to manage everyday communication challenges and make the most of the hearing and listening strategies available to you.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Hearing loss doesn't have an age limit. Neither do we.

ACE Your Hearing is open to adults of all ages living with hearing loss, whether your hearing loss is recent or longstanding.

You don't need to wear hearing aids to participate. People who use hearing aids or cochlear implants are equally welcome.

We encourage you to bring a communication partner, such as a spouse, family member or friend. Learning together can make it easier to put communication strategies into practice at home.
